Responsibilities: Matt leads the International Partnerships team and has more than 30 years in Financial Services. He is an expert in helping merchants, banks and networks create compelling partnerships and helps organisations expand across international borders. This includes co-branding, processing partnerships, network selections and go to market strategy. The practice works across multiple consumer products.

Previous Experience: One of the UK’s leading cards and payments experts with a mixture of practitioner and consulting experience. Matt has operated as a trusted consulting advisor to 100’s of clients in the past 20 years, many of which are household brands. Matt originally set up Auriemma’s London office and was responsible for partnerships and benchmarking, including running the payments strategy team based which was based in New York. Matt has unparalleled knowledge of different operating environments, consumer behaviour, card economics and regulatory regimes. Prior to working at Auriemma, he was the Managing Director of a Barclaycard JV and a founding member of Barclaycards Partnerships team. He has also managed long-term interim assignments at Bank of Ireland where he was Transitional Services Director after a portfolio sale and Commercial Director at Compare the Market where he was responsible for building up the Money business unit.
